The Richmond Bluegrass Jam exists to raise money for military veterans and their families through the Richmond Fisher House and Liberation Veteran Services. But who says you can’t have a whole lot of fun in the process? Here are a few things you need to know:

• There is no charge for admission, but we ask all who come to make a generous donation. All proceeds will go to support veterans and military families, and gifts are tax-deductible. 
• Parking is available at James River High School (3700 James River Rd.), with free shuttles running all day.
• The Children's Museum of Richmond will be hosting family activities, games, and challenges from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Bring camp/lawn chairs or a blanket with you--preset seating is limited.
• Please leave pets at home.
• No outside food and beverages, please.
• If you play, bring your instrument along. We have lots of open jam space where you can join the pickin’. And, we’ll have a secured instrument check station.
• Come prepared for the weather of the day--this is an outdoor venue.
